Hydrate

We all know we should drink plenty of water every day but let’s face it, we all have those days when we are so busy, rushing to fit everything in. Simply staying hydrated is easily forgotten.

Any healthcare professional will tell you how important water is for our bodies and minds to function. Beauty experts will sing its praises to help your skin to retain moisture and look great.

So prepare for your portrait by getting more water into your system. Write it on a to do list, sticky note on the fridge or set hourly reminders on your phone. Whatever works for you. So, skip the booze and the caffeine, sip on some water and stay hydrated!  While you are at it be sure to eat a good meal!

clothing

If you are an entrepreneur or business manager you may want to wear something that makes you look professional and trustworthy. Perhaps a sharp suit or a crisp shirt.

If you are an artist or a romantic at heart you might want to choose something flowing and comfortable to reflect your creative side.

For those life of the party personalities you might want to wear bright and bold colours to accentuate the bright and bubbly you.

Actors, think about the roles you want to audition for that you might not be getting and the present moment. How would you be dressed in your dream role? Prepare something from your wardrobe to show your potential.

Whatever clothing you choose remember to wear ONLY SOLID COLORS.  Prints just make a portrait look too busy and you will not be happy with the results.

trust your photographer

The better your relationship with your photographer, the better you will look and feel during your portrait session.

The best way to get to know them is by meeting them in person. Try contacting them for a consultation over a coffee. You might even make a new friend!

If you put your trust into your photographer and follow his lead you will come out with the best portrait you have ever had.  Photographers will know how to make you look your best x10.
